So.... like I had predicted... I am really not good at making money in game. You see, in 'Recettear' you play as this little girl who has to open and manage a shop so that she can repay her missing father's debts. That jerk went adventuring and fought a huge dragon of some sort and never came back (we assume he didn't make it) and apparently she has no mother. But yes, I knew already that I'm not good at managing money. When people enter the store and they argue and make puppy eyes and beg for lower prices, i just go: 'awwww don't make that face' and I end up not doing any profit, which is the goal of the game.
So far I made it through all the payments (you have to repay your father's debts each weeks). And the one I fail at is the '80k' one, I did it over 3 times and I just cannot make enough money... Probably because I'm too generous with the customers, or maybe unlucky in dungeon drops or I just don't do the proper actions on the right day. Now a thing that I like is that you gain level as a merchant, if you fail repaying your debts, you start back at 'Day 2' (the start of the game) BUT! You do keep your merchant level and items plus all adventurers you have met also keep their levels. So you can start a level 5 dungeon with a lvl20 adventurer, which is neat. But yes, even with that managing a store isn't my cup of tea... I'll still keep playing because I cannot let Recette end up in a box right?
