L.A. Noire Weekend

This fabulous 3 days weekend is meant to play L.A. Noire! After playing some table top game yesterday night, started to play L.A. Noire on the 360.

I am not a fan of GTA, not because it's not a good serie but only because car games aren't my cup of tea. Mind you I still play them but thanks God it's only a game because my driving skills are horrendous. So I had heard of this game and a few friends of mine were bugging me to get it, so I did. I'm now at the 2nd disc, there are 3 discs in total (I'm curious of why 3 discs were needed for this, anyone knows?) And I'm having fun.

The driving sequences are a pain in the rear for me because I'm really not good at driving, I had just learned yesterday from a friend who's also playing that you can make your partner drive. I guess that was me not paying attention to tutorial because I wasn't aware of it... So sometimes I drive, sometime I let my partner behind the wheel. One thing is that you will skip all 'street crimes' if you do let your partner drive, so it's a choice you make.

I had heard lots of people saying it's repetitive, I'm not done with the game yet but so far yes it's a tad repetitive. But that doesn't bother me so much. I like anything related to cops, detectives, mafia and anything crime-solving things, so i am pleased with this game. I closed a few cases in which there was little puzzles. Like the jewelry boxes with a code number. I wish there was more of those and with they would ramp up in difficulty.

I'm also a big fan of the TV serie 'Lie to me' which kinda helps to play L.A. Noire. As you walk around and interview ppl you can totally read their face and see if they are lying of have anything that needs more explanations. So yeah, I must say that the facial animation is pretty strong in this game, was one of their selling point.

Now now, I will get back to it. Crime doesn't wait!
I'll go solve more cases while having a café.
