The walking dead (game) finished

Finished 'The walking dead' game, took me 14 hours in total. Some of my friends loved it (they were already sold to anything 'zombie') and some didn't like the 'point n click' gameplay and didn't bother to play for more than 10min.

I must say that at 1st the controls felt a lil weird and I wasn't sure I was liking the art style but I always give a game a try before i make an opinion of it even if it's not my type of game. And well I was quite happy because it's different from other zombies/infected games out there. Usually you spend your time shooting and running away from zombies, in this game it's more about making the right decisions at the right time.

*Spoilers ahead, just saying!*

The main characters really grew on me, I couldn't help it but to fall in love with Clementine, she's so cute and also has such a strong personality! And even thought she's a lil girl, she understand way more than you would think. Sometimes you talk with her and you have the option to tell her the truth, tell her white lies or totally hide everything from her but by the end you get that she understood it all and still sticked by you no matter what. They really made a good job at making you care about Clem!

Some moments in the game were a little too much for me... Already near the start, when you have to chop that guy's legs I so wished I had other ways to save him. But what made me go ' no way....' is when you have to shoot a child on the face, even thought Duck was about to turn... shooting him in the face in front of his dad and his mom who just committed suicide was a lil too much. And when I thought 'damn... they better not throw stuff like that at me anymore!' You find a little boy who 'turned' after starving to death.... Not only they make me shoot him in the head but they make me bury him next to his pet dog? Now you will say: 'But you have made the choice to shoot him, you could have let Kenny do it!' Sure, I could have... but after the poor guy lost his child and wife? I just couldn't have him do it. I guess this game is good at making you feel bad.

Overall I liked the game! The gameplay and the narrative really blended in well together. I saw on forums that people who were playing the PC version got a lot of bugs, mainly corruptions ones, luckily I only encounter minor bugs. Funniest one was that Duck's model totally disappeared for a while, so his mother was holding him but the model wasn't there, it took a tad the 'drama' out of the scene. But overall it went smooth, the whole 'choices matters' is a tad rubbish because in the end, when you make a choice, the other characters will act a certain way that will come back to the same thing as if you picked other choices. Also the ending is the same, no matter what you have decided to do.

Talking about the end, yes it made me sad even if I saw it coming. Of course I did let the credits rolled because it's trendy to add a lil something something after the credits, so what happened at the end? Who knows? Was it Omid and Christa? Or... were they walkers? By the way they walked, you couldn't really tell... Then again, it was meant to finish like this, letting you wanting more. I doubt there will be a sequel to this, sometimes it's better not to have one.
