Guild Wars 2: I had to...

So because I'm a MMO fan and am slightly influenced and felt the peer pressure... I had to try Guild Wars 2. Thanks to Saimon for the key!

I did quit Tera online 2 weeks ago and wasn't really that much attracted by GW2, mainly because I had play Guild Wars 1 and wasn't a fan of it. I didn't like the character design and character creation editor. Pretty much all of the girls models all look like kpop idols... There wasn't much options to make your character very distinctive from others. Also I didn't find a class that I really enjoyed playing and what irritated me the most was the lag, massive 'Rubber-banding' and it wasn't my connection, a lot of people had that issue.

Now with GW2, I have no lag issue (except a few know areas in the game like the bandit caves at the start makes you peak a big 10 FPS). I was again really disappointed with character creation and even worst, I can totally recognize the same 'hairdo' from GW1.... c'mon guys, a little love for customization?
Although it seems to have more armor sets and more 'dyable parts of armors' so you can become a pink purple weird colorful warrior if you wanted to.

Having played Tera for a bit, going back to a 'must target' combat system was a little sad but i will prolly get over it in a bit, I have just started to play.

I had only 2 classes that I wanted to play, Guardian and Thief and since Saimon did pick Guardian I went with Thief. I did try a bit of the Mesmer class but I was so squishy and wasn't a fan of the 'shadows' thing. So yeah, I'll go with daggers and stealthy stealth!

I'll give it a few weeks before I can make a more solid opinion of the game. Apparently they sold more copies of Gw2 within the first weeks than WoW back in the days. Is it because Gw2 is awesome? Or because there is no big competition? That being said, Square Enix FFXIV 2.0 A Realm Reborn might be an option, but it's not there yet.... I believe they are aiming for end of the year or start of next year. I'll keep an eye on that too!
