Weekend Gaming: Swtor

Since the launch, some friends have being constantly asking me: 'Will you join us in Swtor?'
I did play FFXI, did play WoW, did play Aion. Now... do I want again play another MMO?
The answer is yes, of course.

So last weekend I grabbed a copy of Swtor (thanks Eric!) and what I did is make a xls of all my friends that are playing the game, classified them by server, side, class. Of course they would all have to pick different servers.... So I did try to find one that was commun to at least 2 friends. And I also had another issue... ALL OF MY FRIENDS, fell to the dark side.... All of them are siths. So I started a sith inquisitor...

First of all, I did find the installation of the game damn long, but then again, I prefer to have a long install from a dvd than a long download. Then I created my 1st character.... damn I don't know the reason that made the dev team choose to make it like that, but the characters are all pretty ugly ( sry to say). Many MMO nowadays offer such a variety and quality within character creation editors that I was sad to see the result of the Swtor character creation. I did try to make the less ugly chix inquisitor possible.

I loved the start cinematics, dialogues, music and SFX, it did satisfy the nerd that i am and it totally felt like Star Wars. Now on my 1st few missions I had to start by torturing a poor guy tied to a chair to make him talk.... Then I knew, inquisitor did not suit me. And actually the other classes.... didn't attract me much.

I'm usually playing white mages, clerics, medics in MMOS. So I'm sorry my Sith friends, I shall go with the force and will be a Jedi, I'll see you in the PvP zones ^_^.
So I have changed server and now have a lvl16 Jedi Sage, which I'm liking a lot~!

The moment I obtained my very 1st light saber was epic and yesterday just got my 1st ship! And these are moments that makes me happy in this game, the story is strong (so is the force) and it really have the star wars feel to it. I will let you know more when I do play some more.

May the force be with you!
