While my blog's name contains: 'Nerdy' in it, I have not talked about anything else but video games. So I thought I could talk about other of my nerdy hobbies like books, mangas and anime.
I cannot say I am a huge anime fan but there are some that I liked to watch.
And lately a friend told me about a specific anime that was a 'must watch'.
(Revelation, I am a 'magical girl anime fan'! Some of you may be surprised by this some won't.) I did fall in love with it and it's called: 'Puella Magi Madoka Magica'.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica is 'magical girls' type of anime, I can totally hear you go: 'that's not for me....'. To be honest when I first saw a few images I was thinking: 'Just another cute colorful show with schoolgirls chilllin with their friends...' And I was wrong! This show is way more than cute magical girls with colorful outfits.
The 1st two episodes are cute and almost generic, but after that the story takes a dark twist and the story is delicious. I did find the art about the 'witches' very interesting and different from what I saw before of the genre. The music is also pretty awesome. I totally fell in love with that show, there are 12 episodes and at the end I almost wished there was more!
Just for the story, the art and the music, watch it! : )
