My Aion's sin

I have been playing Aion since the NA closed beta.
My main character is an Assassin lvl37, a friendly one mind you!

I like the game, but its not as addictive as other MMOS I have played in the past.
It's really pretty that's for sure, and the character customization is pretty cool as well.
What bug me is the money.... EVERYTHING in the game cost 'Kinahs' ( this is the currency used in the game). When I say everything, I'm not joking... You pay to teleport and use flight paths, which is ok. Then you pay for your skills, you pay when you want to set your checkpoint(homepoint whatever you want to call it), then you pay to put items on the AH, then again you pay to buy your skills... And crafting is really expensive as well, there are mats you can farm, but some can only be bought and they are ridiculously expensive.

You can input 'Manastones' into weapons and equipement ( it's a bit like the materia in FF7).
You can also 'Enchant' them, but all of this may again turn up to be very costly.
And the system of Manastones and Enchants is crappy, the success rate is so low that it doesn't encourage anyone to use any of it...

You also need a good PC to do massive PVP battles.
My lil dual core with 2G of ram isn't cutting it, so I cannot go into the Abyss and try to gain a forteress ( I tried once and my PC almost died)... It's sad because it's pretty fun!

What i love in the game, like most ppl, is flying.
Flying in combat is awesome, you never know where the enemies will come from.
You also get certain bonuses and abilties while flying in combat.
While you are fighthing, and I'm personally really into when I fight, you must pay attention to your 'Flight time', this adds up to the challenge and I love it!

I'm not sure how long I'll keep playing this game, for now I'm enjoying it...
Until some other games I want to play comes out ( there are a few! :) )

Until then,Take care kind Daeva!

  1. The character design is not too bad and the architecture, from what I've seen (I don't play online games so I rely on videos to talk about them), is really nice.
Cool to see some alternatives to the dominating WoW.
