Bioshock Infinite: Cleared
It took me only 2 days to finish Bioshock Infinite.
I liked it a lot, it has the same feel as the 1st one I find, I liked to discovered Columbia as much as I liked Rapture. Here again, loved the story and all the characters, it's very well written! Also loved the music, I have a thing for their choice of soundtracks in all of the 3 games.
While I must say there it way more 'pew-pew' than strategy in this one, it's still enjoyable. You know when you go to a movie and you exit the theater room smiling and thinking: 'it was a good movie' without being the one of the year but still very satisfying, this is what I feel after finishing Bioshock Infinite.
The previous one was more hack and sneak, this one is pretty much stack up on weapons and ammo and take down all that lives before exploring each areas. I feel like there was less efforts on the enemies design on this one, was it just me? I guess it was stronger on the level design and the story per say. Mind you I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's making it a tad different from the Bioshock 1 and 2.
I played at medium difficulty, as always I don't want to be frustrating and hard but I wanted it a tad challenging. The only part that made me angry was the airship part (the one where you must protect the core of your airship), I think I 'redid' it like 20 times, yup. Most of the time I was choosing to 'restart from checkpoint' every time I was getting surrounded by patriots plus gunships.
I cannot say I didn't see the ending come, I knew pretty much where it was going. Still it's well done and very pretty. You will want to watch the credits until the end for a pretty video clip of the theme song : )
A friend asked if you needed to play Bioshock 1 and/or 2 before this one, nah not really. Yes there are some related bits, but you can still play and enjoy Infinite without having played the previous games.
Now I want a Bishock 4!
I don't think it will happen, but I like this franchise a lot.
Cheers
